We presented the competences of the Alliance companies in the completion of the Dukovany NPP to the members of the Economic Committee of the Chamber of Deputies

Members of the Economic Committee of the Chamber of Deputies met on Wednesday 21 June with representatives of the largest technology companies in the field of nuclear energy associated in the Czech Power Industry Alliance. They discussed the need to provide guarantees for the Czech industry to be involved in the supply chain for the construction of new nuclear power plants in the Czech Republic.

The situation is so urgent that the Economic Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic decided to deal with this topic in June. At present, it is high time to negotiate with bidders for the involvement of Czech companies.

“It will be too late in October when they submit their bids. If this does not happen, there is a real risk that the winners of the tender will find it more profitable to hire foreign suppliers for the completion of the nuclear power plant in the Czech Republic, with whom they will cooperate on contracts in Europe, where the participation of local companies is negotiated by the state,” said Josef Perlík, Executive Director of the Czech Power Industry Alliance at the event.
